8pm Show: HERE the Musical
A two person musical improvisation play, performed by Tara DeFrancisco & Rance Rizzutto! One of the most celebrated shows in this art worldwide, this show has “shown something new is possible in improvisation”, was called “Nothing short of Genius” by NPR, and is the improvisation show with the highest review in the past 60 years by The Chicago Tribune – now with another home base in Columbus. Musical accompaniment by David Schmoll; Audience provides one suggestion for inspiration on a story and theme; Show created from scratch.

9:15 Preview Bonus Show: Storyteller
In this show, a monologist gets a suggestion from the audience, and tells stories or shares their thoughts, and the improvisers create scenes loosely using details from each monologue. A blend of iO Chicago’s “Armando” and UCB’s “Assssscat” forms, this hybrid show was designed by the founders of The Nest with blessings from Chicago & NYC.
